Health benefits of eating a yoghurt

A yogurt is said to be the healthiest food.  A bowl of yogurt contains 300 grams of calcium, protein and probiotics. Replacing unhealthy snack with a yogurt, will help maintain your weight, detoxify your skin and help repair your hair.

A yogurt get it's "Greek" label when it has been strained to get rid of whey.

What is whey?
Whey is the remaining liquid after milk has been curdled and strained . most whey side effects are related to digestion. Most people, especially the one who are lactose intolerant, have problem digesting whey and experience symptoms such as bloating, had, stomach cramps and diarrhea. Without whey, the yogurt becomes thicker, creamier with a high concentration of protein and good for your gut probiotic.

Greek yogurt has twice as much protein as the regular yogurt. It is an excellent source of calcium, which can help improve bone health, reduce blood pressure and lower risk of type 2 diabetes.

Here are some of the health benefit of eating a Greek yogurt;

Greek yogurt can play a role in reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes through the replacement of healthy food in the diet, and the effect of nutrients such as calcium and protein on appetite control.

2. Source of quality protein
A 3/4 cup of greek yogurt provides over 10 grams of protein, making it a healthy option for breakfast. Monitoring your protein intake throughout the day will be beneficial to your health.

3. Help fight infections
Probiotic yogurt contain good bacteria that's linked with boosting immunity. Not all yogurt contain probiotics so make sure to look for the ones that have probiotic or labeled "live ative culture". You can find them at woolworths or food and lovers market.

Greek yogurt contains vitanB12, which maintain red blood cells and help keep your nervous system function properly.

5.Boost metabolism
