Tips on how to look fashion forward

Looking stylish every day is very important. It shows character and personalities. This day's everyone wants to create a fashion-forward look, However, most people struggle with ways to achieve it,  usually because they don't know their body type and they are not keeping up with trends.

Here are some tips to help you get that fashion-forward look.

1. Always wear a belt
Wearing a belt is a no-fail system. It works all the time. A belt can serve as an accessory and it breaks your bottom and your top. Be careful, however, with the kind of belt you wear. Please don't wear those big ugly belts. When wearing a jean and t-shirt, just wear a simple, thin belt. You can even wear a belt on top of your baggy blazers, it always works out.

2. Add an accessory
On every outfit you are wearing, please try to add an accessory. Be it a belt, a stylish hat, a watch, a necklace and rings. They add a spark to your outfit.

3. Combine colours
It's crazy how your outfit can turn out to be with a monochrome look. When you play with colours, keep in mind the season we are in. For summer and spring, you will go for bright colours whereas in winter you will go for warm and dark colours. When creating a monochrome look, try to make it the same colours but different shades. Usually, put a dark shade at the bottom and a bright shade at the top.

4. Mix vintage with new
Mixing vintage with new is such a great way to style an outfit. Vintage bags and vintage accessories can help make your outfit look complete.

5. Always wear a plain t-shirt
Plain t-shirts are a definition of elegance. They are stylish, they go with everything and they are forever in fashion. A black and a white plain t-shirt go with every outfit.

6. Update your shoes
Shoes can make a big difference on an outfit. They complete your outfit. A nice thing about shoes is that they don't choose a body type. You don't have to be into fashion to look fashionable. You just need a nice pair of shoes and trust me, your outfit will be complete.

7. Add texture
This one is very important. A simple leather piece can complement your outfit. Leather is always in fashion. We all need to have a leather piece in our wardrobe, be it a leather jacket, a leather shirt, leather skirt or leather pants.

When trying to achieve a fashion-forward look, you need to keep into consideration your body type. And your skin tone. I hope these tips are helpful. Always play around with clothes and make sure whatever you are wearing works for you and you feel confident in it.
