We are all aware that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but not when your meal consists of sugary cereals, saturated fats and bad carbohydrates. A healthy breakfast stabilizes your energy level, boost your metabolism and jump-start your brain. 

A balance of carbohydrate, protein, and fibre is the key to any healthy breakfast, and eating food with these components will increase your energy level.

Here are 4 healthy breakfast ideas to try this new year.

1, Egg and  Avocado toast 
              
Ingredients
1/4 Avocado
1 Egg
Jalapeno Sauce
Toasted wheat bread
 
Preparations 
1. In a small non-stick pan, melt butter over medium heat.
2. Add Eggs, season and scramble
3. In a small bowl, mash Avocado, season and spread on toast.
4. Top with Eggs sprinkle with pepper and sauce

2.Keto Egg butter with Salmon and Avocado
Ingredients 
4 oz smoked salmon
2 Avocados 
1 tbsp fresh parsley
4 Eggs
1/4 tbsp black ground  black pepper
1/2 tbsp olive oil
50 oz Butter

Preparations

1.Boil eggs for 7-8 minutes
2. Peel the eggs and chop them finely 
3. Mix the eggs and butter. Season with salt, pepper and parsley.
4. Serve the egg butter with a side of diced avocado tossed in olive oil and a few slices of smoked salmon 

3. Breakfast Parfait
Ingredients 
1/2 Banana
1/4 Cup Blueberries, frozen
5 tbsp yoghurt 
1 Granola
Chopped strawberries 
Peanut butter shake 

4. Egg and vegetable bowl
Ingredients

1/2 10 oz baby  potatoes
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
2 Garlick cloves
1 zucchini, medium
4 Eggs
1 yellow pepper
1 red pepper
Pinch sea salt ad fresh ground black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil

Preparations
1. In a large pan with salty water, boil potatoes for 6-8 minutes, then drain 
2.  Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the potatoes, zucchini, peppers, garlic and season with salt and pepper
3.  Sautee for 8-10 minutes .make 4spaces in the pan and gently crack the eggs in.
4. Place the lid on and cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until set
5. Garnish with green onions and chilli flakes.
